    Mathematical Computer Science Major - 52 Credits

 
     The curriculum for the Mathematical/Computer Science major has, as its foundation, the same core as the Computer Science major. An interdisciplinary mix of physics, mathematics and computer science courses follows with a capstone experience that is based in either Mathematics or Computer Science. Students with combined preparation in mathematics and computer science have had excellent job placement and career growth.
Computer Science Core (21 cr.): Physics Core (4 cr.):
CS 110/111 Computer Science I with Lab P 201/202 Introductory Physics I with Lab
CS 210 Computer Science II 
CS 220 Discrete Mathematics  Capstone Experience (6 cr.): 
CS 310 Computer Organization

6 credits (300 level or above) that are taken from Mathematics and/or Computer Science. The student's major advisor will suggest and must agree on this coursework.
