Examples of software project work which incorporate new technologies unknown to the student.

Select a project for department review.

 

Code Review.

 

Project Demonstration

Instructor will grade project using the programming rubric and put project into department folders.

 

The results of the code review will be compiled by the individual faculty member, and placed in the assessment file.

 

Results of assessment will be reviewed by the dept and statistical analysis will be performed.

Department faculty and administration.

Final written report will be included in the department's annual report and forwarded to the Provost's office by May 15.

The department will dedicate four meetings per year to assessment.

Information required-what does faculty need to assess this outcome?

Method of assessment-how will this information be obtained from students?

Data collection-who will collect this data and in what settings?

Analysis Procedure-How will the data be analyzed and by whom?

Reporting Information-Who will see the results of the data analysis?

Timeline/Deadlines-How often and when will this data be collected and analyzed?

Discussion of Results-When will the analysis be evaluated? How often? By whom? In what setting?

Recommended Changes-What changes in programs or instructional planning happened as a result of this data?
